Summary
Being raised in Las Vegas truly exposed me to the best of the best marketing and advertising in the world. It helped me understand how to connect with diverse audiences and think creatively under pressure. At Eller, I’ve gained hands-on experience through team projects where I developed key skills like collaboration, strategic thinking, and communication. I also held a leadership role in Alpha Phi Sorority, where I helped onboard new members, led weekly meetings, and organized large events—boosting my leadership, public speaking, and problem-solving abilities. I recently worked as a Sales Rep for JusCollege, selling over $9,500 in Spring Break trips using digital marketing and social media. This experience taught me how to create engaging content and drive sales by truly understanding what people want. I’m confident using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau to analyze market trends and turn data into strategies. I’m organized, proactive, and love working with people. I’m excited to bring my skills and energy to a marketing agency in Las Vegas that values creativity and results.
"Eden is very cool, calm, and collected in a professional setting which is a valued trait."
Shaping My Professional Persona
Throughout the semester and working with a team, I’ve been exposed to my core values, strengths, and areas to improve upon. To better learn this for myself and others, I sent out a professional persona survey to a few of my past teammates and coworkers.
My core values consist of dependability, honesty, and compassion and have definitely shaped who I am personally and as a professional. I would describe myself as hard-working, passionate, and kind. These traits show my commitment to whatever task or job I’m given, and how I will give the utmost respect to all around me. I will always give 110% effort to my work and put in the same effort to build and keep connections I make along the way. I value honesty and open communication not only with myself but others around me, as I believe it can help us all reach our fullest potential.
For example, my role as one of the New Member Directors for Alpha Phi truly highlights these core values and traits that I prioritize and implement daily. I had full compassion and kindness while teaching the current members how to be appropriate, memorable role models for the members. I showcased this during new member meetings, connecting with girls over the summer, and always making myself available to help out and make connections. Being able to help lead 160 young women truly strengthened my passion for helping, communicating, and working with others to help them be the best version of themselves.
According to the survey results, all respondents referred to me as hard-working, trusting, and a growth-oriented personality. These results also relate closely to my team feedback.
"She does an incredible job at accepting constructive criticism."
People Styles
After taking many assessments, my People Style is Expressive. Some traits of an Expressive include outgoing, people-oriented, optimistic, and spontaneous. I have an assertiveness score of 5 and a responsiveness score of 3. This style is shown frequently throughout my personal and academic life, as I love working with people and always look at the positive sides of different situations. I enjoy taking initiative and leading group activities to help bring teams together and ideas forward.
